Read Under the Stars.....

Last night was our school's reading night. We usually do a spill where we give parents tips about reading and it is a lot of teachers talking and parents sitting and listening. We decided to switch it up this year and have a theme to go with our reading night.

The theme was "Read Under the Stars"....a camping themed event where you read books with your families. The students wore their pj's, brought blankets, and ate "smores". Our smores were teddy grahams, chocolate chips, and small marshmallows...yum!

We had stations set up for the students to take Accelerated Reader tests and play reading games with their family. We also had a retired teacher come as a story teller. Well, the event turned out fantastic! We had so many compliments from parents, and the kids had a great time!
